Puri / Poori


Ingredients:

Wheat flour – 1 cup
Rava- 1 tsp.
Sugar – 1 pinch (optional)
Salt – to taste
Oil –for frying

Method:

  • Combine the wheat flour, 2 tbsp. of oil, rava, sugar and salt all and knead into stiff dough using enough water.
  • Knead again with the remaining ½ tbsp of oil and cover and keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
  • Heat the oil in a deep kadhai and deep-fry the puris a few at a time till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides.
  • Drain it and serve hot.
